Dear Friends and Family,

2026 marks the 13th year that Team Poppy is supporting Purple Stride and 12 years since we lost our grandfather. 

Team Poppy honors our grandfather, Albert D. Maslia, who passed away in April of 2014, and raises money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. With the support of so many, over the past 12 years, Team Poppy has raised $110K towards the fight against pancreatic cancer, and we’re already off to a great start for 2026. In fact, we have a Team Poppy team in NYC for the third year!  Thank you to those who have supported us over the years. 

We raised $10,502 in 2025. For 2026, we hope to surpass 2025 and have set a goal of to raise $12,000 to honor our Poppy and to support a great cause. With everyone's help and support, we can continue to further the amazing strides already made in pancreatic cancer research. So, we hope you will consider helping our team reach our 2026 goal.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
