All I want for my birthday is a cure for pancreatic cancer.

CANCER UPDATE: I have had no detectable cancer for TWO YEARS! I don't know if that means remission . . . My doctors never use that term ‍♀ I have two weeks left on my chemo pill that I have taken twice a day for two years. 


I was diagnosed with breast cancer days after my 39th birthday. After a year of chemo and radiation and surgery and recovery . . . And two years on the chemo pill while in medically induced menopause, I am now celebrating my 42nd birthday. 

I made it through cancer--though even with the chemo pill being over (almost) I am still being treated with anti estrogen and monthly shots to keep my ovaries shut down for the next five years. But still . . . I made it through.


My Dad was not as lucky. Pancreatic cancer is a killer. It took my Dad a little over 2 months from diagnosis to death. 

I fundraise so that other pancreatic cancer patients can have a fighting chance. The more research and support, the more likely the survival rate increases. It's the least I can do among all the horrible things happening in the world, and our country, right now.
