Our team is participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. 

For our 5th year fundraising, we remember Pat, my mother. She was diagnosed in the summer of 2021, and after enduring rounds of chemotherapy as well as life-saving surgery, she became cancer free on Thanksgiving Day 2021. Despite those treatments, she received the devastating news that her cancer returned, just shy of her 2-year mark. Two very short weeks later, she passed away surrounded by family in November 2023.

Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer has an alarmingly high recurrence rate even after surgical resection. Studies show that approximately 80% can have recurrences within 5 years and approximately 60% within 2 years. 

Please join our team as a participant, or make a gift of any size to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal. We MUST continue to improve more patients’ lives, increase awareness AND find a cure!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
