Together, We Can Beat Pancreatic Cancer!

 In October 2021, our lives changed when my husband Sid was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. What saved him was something heartbreakingly rare: his cancer was caught early. Because of his family history and a BRCA2 gene mutation, his doctor recommended screening. And, in so doing, saved Sid’s life.

This year marks our 5th year walking in PanCAN’s PurpleStride. We walk out of gratitude. We walk to pay forward the lifesaving work PanCAN does every day. We walk so more families can have the chance Sid had — early detection, real options, and hope.

For the last two years, thanks to the generosity of so many, we raised over $100,000 to fight this deadly disease. We’re aiming to do it again this year. Please help us reach this goal with a donation of any size. You can also join our team and walk with us on April 25 at an event that is powerful, moving, and full of hope.

Most of all, if you have a family history of pancreatic cancer or carry the BRCA2 gene mutation, please talk to your doctor and get screened. It can save your life.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
