Hello friends!

As a team, we have come together to take steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26, 2026 in the city of Pittsburgh.

In an effort to continue Kelly's legacy of generosity, we want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients who are fighting the battles of their lives, all of whom are doing so with the same strength and courage Kelly demonstrated each day. We remember those we lost, the ones running their race, and those who will someday be diagnosed with this disease.

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services. Collectively, our team has raised money to help fund clinical trials, research studies, and provide resources for families in need. Your donations truly make a difference!

I have set a personal fundraising goal in hopes to surpass it, but I truly need your help. A gift of any size to help us get there is so appreciated.

Please help us get one step closer to the day where pancreatic cancer patients THRIVE and we can soar beyond a 13% survival rate. Let's come together so that folks like Kelly will someday be offered a promising treatment option.

Patients and families need us, as funding for one of the most deadly cancers is extremely low.  I remember the days of praying for a breakthrough to come and though ours never did, we can walk for those who are praying the same.  Sadly for many of us, our heartache is the common ground, but we raise money to give hope to those who follow. We do it all for our loved ones and they live on through us. 

My role as Kelly’s caregiver has been fulfilled, but my dedication to the cause remains. I encourage all who are able to donate a few dollars in support of those in the trenches, fighting a battle of a lifetime. Kelly’s life and goodness remain an inspiration. May we all demonstrate the same strength, humility, and fortitude in our lifetime.
