Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

 I cannot quite articulate how I felt yesterday on Thanksgiving without my mother. Simply put...it was odd and an overwhelmingly obvious void. Exactly 2 years ago, she was officially cancer free after rounds of

chemotherapy and life-saving surgery, and now she is gone. I recall her asking me how could it return. Unfortunately, this devastating cancer diagnosis has an alarmingly high recurrence rate even after surgical resection. Studies show that approximately 80% can have recurrences within 5 years and approx. 60% within 2 years. So, to carry on the tradition of beginning our fundraising around Thanksgiving, our team, Pat's Purple Panthers, will walk at PanCan PurpleStride DELAWARE in remembrance of my Mother. We must continue to provide resources to families, increase awareness and most importantly, FIND A CURE!! Link to donate to our team provided in profile


PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
