We're taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Grandson Riley was only a young child when his Grandpa Tom passed away and, yet, he has many vivid memories from that formative period. Tom was able to continue making beautiful memories with his grandson, family and friends far and near even while undergoing therapy.  His commitment to live fully with therapy never waivered to the very end.

Now, as a high school junior, Riley wanted to commemorate this anniversary by raising money for research against this stealth disease that is pancreatic cancer. So, we've set up Tom's Trekkers in honor of his love of the outdoors and track & field, to raise money for pancreatic cancer awareness and research so the survival rate will continue to rise.  The 5-year survival rate was at an abysmal low of under 5% at the time; now, PanCan reported it has reached 13%. It's progress, but still too low.  Let's help achieve the progress we all want to see.
