PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

I am participating in PanCAN PurpleStride in loving memory of my mother, who bravely fought pancreatic cancer. Like so many families affected by this disease, we faced how aggressive and unforgiving it can be—often diagnosed late, with limited treatment options and devastating outcomes. Her strength, grace, and resilience throughout her illness continue to inspire me every day.

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest cancers, with survival rates that have improved far too slowly (still 13%). That reality is why research, early detection efforts, and patient support resources are so critical. PanCAN plays a vital role in advancing scientific research, improving treatment options, and ensuring patients and families have access to life-saving information and care.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
