This April, my family and I are hitting the pavement again to end pancreatic cancer, with all the love, energy, and enthusiasm that my dad, Pete, inspired in us every day. 

If you knew my dad, you know he had a smile that could brighten up any room and a positive spirit that kept us all going. Last year, he took part in PurpleStride, and seeing the outpouring of support and love really lifted his spirits—it reminded us that we're all in this fight together. 

Not a day goes by that we don’t think of him. That’s why PurpleStride means so much to us. It’s our way of making sure no other family has to face what we did, and each dollar raised brings us closer to a world without this disease.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, I’ll be lacing up for PanCAN PurpleStride—the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer. Every dollar raised fuels crucial research, support for families, and hope for brighter days.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
