I?m proud to take steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN?s biggest community event of the year, PanCAN PurpleStride!

I stride for my mom, Sue, who lost her life in 2023 to Pancreatic Cancer. She fought and chose every day to live her life with happiness and hope. Her life is an example to me and so many others on not letting our struggles define who we are or want to be. She taught me to be grateful for everything I have and value every moment with those around me. 

I would also like to honor and remember the lives of Edward Downs, Mad Dog Billings, Diana Pecaro, Jerry Varon, and Michael Fligg?beloved family members of those close to me?who lost their lives to pancreatic cancer.

With PanCan Purple Stride, I am looking to raise money to support cancer research and the search for a cure. A gift of any size will provide much-needed hope for a brighter future for the entire pancreatic cancer community.

Again, thank you for supporting me and everyone affected by pancreatic cancer. I?m grateful for you and your support!

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
