Welcome to my Pan Can PurpleStride Personal Page.

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer survivals and patients – and I need your help to do it!

I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2024. I became very sick in February and was hospitalized for a week.  After being discharged, I was told on my follow up visit I had pancreatic cancer. After receiving chemotherapy, surgery and  three more months of chemotherapy, I rung the bell November 27,2024. I am a survivor.  It’s because of my faith and two of the greatest doctors at Inova Shar Institute that I am survivor.  My mother passed from it and my sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year,

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research, bring new treatment options to patients; free personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

One of the goals this year is to increase the survival rate from 13% to 20% by the year 2030.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set a fundraising goal and need your donations to help reach it.

 A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
