I am asking you to support a very important cause, to further pancreatic cancer research and support services for people who are dealing with it.

Most pancreatic cancers don’t cause symptoms and are detected far too late, usually stage 3 or 4, when the survival rates are extremely low (below 15% survive 5 years). This is why a major emphasis of PanCAN and medical research is on early detection and clinical trials. We need your support to further these effots.

PanCAN is leading national efforts to support patients, as well as provide research funds. I have benefited from their services in dealing with many issues over the past year.

For the past two years, we were the top fundraisers in the State of Michigan.

Last year, we were in the top 20 teams nationally, raising over $55,000.  


This year, with your donation, we want to:

Raise more than $75,000
Again, be the top fundraising team in Michigan
Be in the top 10 fundraising team nationally

These are big goals, but it is needed to fight pancreatic cancer  

I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early January, 2024 and had a major surgery to remove the tumor in February, 2024. I am very fortunate, as my tumor caused symptoms and was caught early. I had 6 months of chemotherapy which ended in late August, 2024 and am now doing well. I am now focused on early detection and researching clinical trials, with PanCAN's assistance.

I am fortunate in many ways. My health has returned, I’m working full time and I’m able to make this challenge pledge. My mom was not so fortunate. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2023 and died 12 months later, on September 3, 2024. 

I have set a very ambitious fundraising goal of $75,000 and would greatly appreciate your meaningful donation to help support pancreate research as well as provide PanCAN patient services. We want our team to again be the top fundraisers in the State of Michigan.
