Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Pancreatic cancer has deeply affected me, as I was diagnosed in March 2024. In the short time that followed, I also received a diagnosis of Renal Cell carcinoma in my left kidney. In July, I underwent Cryoablation to treat the tumor in my kidney. To add to the complexity, I was diagnosed with Von Hippel-Lindau disease, a rare genetic disorder that increases the risk of various cancers, including the ones I’ve been facing. In October, I underwent the Whipple procedure to remove the tumor from my pancreas.


Despite these challenges, I am incredibly grateful to report that everything has been progressing well. I truly believe that early detection and prompt treatment have put me on the right track for recovery. With that in mind, I feel compelled to raise awareness for this cause and highlight the importance of early intervention and research.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
