I”m proud to take steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, PanCAN PurpleStride!
 
PurpleStride is an inspiring event for anyone who has been affected by pancreatic cancer and wants to ensure vital research continues and free resources are made available to all who need them.
 
I was diagnosed in May of 2024. I was instantly overwhelmed with information and options. I had options because it was found early. Most people with Pancreatic Cancer find out at a later stage and options are limited. I’m one of the lucky ones. I entered treatment almost immediately. I had 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy and then surgery. Following surgery I had 6 more rounds of chemotherapy. The support of my family and friends got me through the hardest time of my life. I’m happy to say that I remain cancer free. I’m living my life and taking joy in the little things. Cancer changes your perspective on life and what’s really important. Finding a cure for this deadly cancer is one of them.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
