Along with the Altman Family, I am proud to share that we are taking meaningful steps to end pancreatic cancer by participating in PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year — PurpleStride.

This cause is deeply personal to me. I’ve seen firsthand how devastating this disease is, as Evan's mom (who has always been my mom too, teaching me all the things - how to be a wife, mother and friend) has been fighting for well over two years, every week, every day. A diagnosis that rocked our world.

We also carry the memory of Sari's mom, Marsha, and our beloved Challah—along with so many more—in our hearts as we work toward a cure.

PurpleStride brings together people from every corner of the pancreatic cancer community — survivors, caregivers, families, and friends — all united with one mission: to fuel research, support those in the fight, and create hope where it’s needed most.

This year, I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal because I believe in the impact PanCAN makes — from funding cutting-edge research to offering free, life-changing resources to patients and families navigating the toughest moments of their lives.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
