Thanks for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser in memory of my father, Joel Riggs.

This year, my family has decided to participate in the PanCan Purple Stride 5K in memory of my father.

Our dad was lucky enough for his cancer to be found on accident, and because of it we got six extra years with him. While six years is a blessing, we were hoping for a lifetime. With increased donations and funding a large impact can be made for current and future patients diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. We are raising money in hopes that families like ours can hold on to their loved ones a little longer than we did.

We would also love anyone who knew and loved our dad to join us on April 25th and run alongside us in his memory. Registration is free! Join at our team page link below.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
