Thanks for supporting our PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

Like too many others, I have a personal connection to Pancreatic Cancer. My Aunt Judy lost her battle to Pancreatic Cancer in 2013, and the world hasn't been as bright since that day. 

When I first met Judy, she was a friend of my aunt, Terry, and soon became a girlfriend. Then Judy hit the lottery of life in getting to marry my amazing aunt, and officially became part of the family. From the moment Judy and I met, we knew our bond was more than that of friends or family; it was something special. For that reason, we always called each other "my something," and now it's time for me to do something for her. 

Yoga is about connection, and through yoga, my colleague Ashley Benenati and I bonded over this disease. Her dad has been surviving Pancreatic Cancer since 2021. Thanks to the PanCan and Dana Farber Communities, her dad has been stable and defying the odds of this disease.

Together we’re hosting four donation-based community yoga classes with all proceeds going to PanCan. With the partnerships of CorePower Fresh Pond and Wonder Yoga in Arlington, we are looking forward to combining our love for community with our dedication to giving back.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
