Thanks for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

In August of 2025 I received even more devastating news, as I was still grieving the loss of my spouse.  On Aug 7, 2025 it was confirmed that cancer was present in my liver, possibly in other parts of the body.  Ultimately, it was discovered that I was at stage 4 for pancreatic cancer which has metastasized to the liver and bile duct. As of now there is no known cure for pancreatic cancer, but advancements have lead to us being able to control the spread.  Me, being the warrior that I am, I suited up and started fighting this cancer head on.  This is not the end of my story, and with your help in finding the cure, this will be my most triumphant testimony yet.

 
PurpleStride is an inspiring event for anyone who has been affected by pancreatic cancer and wants to ensure vital research continues and free resources are made available to all who need them.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
