This is the fundraising page for the friends and family of Celia Woerner, who passed away of pancreatic cancer on December 20, 2025. Celia was, among other things, a devoted wife, mother, abuelita, and friend. (More on that via her obituary: https://www.mykeeper.com/CeliaW .)

Formidable force that she was, Celia battled cancer (first ovarian, then pancreatic) for more than ten years, through chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and seemingly every other pain and inconvenience possible—and did all of it with her signature style, humor, and grace undiminished. So while her resilience and toughness were legendary and inspirational, we walk at this year's Pancreatic Cancer Action Network "Purple Stride" event in Chicago (where her youngest son lives) in support of the hope of a future without pancreatic cancer.

Our team wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
