Hello, friends and family,

My team and I are taking action to help end pancreatic cancer by joining PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

We are walking in loving memory of our mother, Shirley Jean Smith. She was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on January 9, 2020, and sadly passed away just 21 days later, on January 30, 2020. Losing her so quickly changed our lives forever. When something like this happens, you ask yourself?how do I cope? what can I do? For us, the answer is to get involved and fight for others to have a better chance at beating this devasting disease.

We want to make a real difference for pancreatic cancer patients, their family and caregivers?and we need your help to do it.

PanCAN PurpleStride is the top way PanCAN raises funds to:

• Support life-saving research that leads to new treatments
• Provide free, personalized support for patients and their families through PanCAN Patient Services
