This year, my family tragically lost our dad, grandfather, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend— BOB. Bob was diagnosed with the most dreaded and challenging cancer there is — pancreatic.

Bob was a 2x Ironman and ultra marathon runner. In November 2024, Bob completed a 64 mile race, running for 19 straight hours. Less than 4 months after this amazing feat, he died of pancreatic cancer. This is what makes pancreatic cancer so difficult, there are often no symptoms until it’s too late, no general screening, and can impact anyone, even a person like Bob — in peak physical shape and health with absolutely no pre-existing conditions. 

Bob was the most kind, giving, and generous man and we want to continue his legacy by making efforts to raise awareness and funds for those impacted by this horrific cancer. 

While it hasn’t even been a year since Bob’s passing, our family has been dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Actuon Network mission!! 

Our team wants to continue to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
