Hello Friends and Family,

The name Melissa means “honeybee” — a perfect name for a woman as sweet as she was. In June 2023, we lost our precious Melissa to pancreatic cancer at just 53 years old. We miss her smile, her laughter, and the light she brought into our lives every day.

Melissa fought bravely for 16 months. In April 2023 — only two months before she passed — she walked in PurpleStride, quietly pushing through the pain and even dancing at times. That’s who she was.

We walk now to keep her memory alive.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, our team will again participate in PanCAN PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Funds raised support critical research, earlier detection, better treatments, and free one-to-one support for patients and families through PanCAN Patient Services.
