Welcome to Purple Purpose for Peter.

This team was created in honor of my dad, Peter, who passed away in 2007 from pancreatic cancer at the age of 59. He was healthy, active, and had just celebrated 30 years of marriage to my mom when we received the diagnosis. He lived 8 short months. He was my mentor, hero, and best friend, and I walk to keep his memory alive.

PurpleStride is more than a walk. It is a movement to raise awareness, fund research, support patients and families, and push for progress against one of the most under funded and deadly cancers.

Our team walks and fundraises to create change. We walk for early detection. We walk for better treatments. We walk for families who should not have to hear the words “there are no options.”
