In August of 2021, after a courageous nine month battle, we lost my Dad to Pancreatic Cancer. It's hard to believe we are approaching 5 years without my Dad, but his memory lives on through our family and his grandchildren every single day.
One of the greatest challenges with pancreatic cancer is how difficult it is to detect. Symptoms are often subtle or nonspecific, and as a result, the disease frequently goes undiagnosed until it has advanced to Stage IV—tragically, this was the case with my Dad. For the past six years, I’ve been dedicated to raising funds for PanCAN to support critical research aimed at earlier detection and more effective treatments, with the goal of changing the trajectory of this devastating disease.
Please join me this April for the PurpleStride fundraiser as we honor the five-year anniversary of my Dad’s passing. While so much has changed over the past five years—including the birth of my children, Harper and Landon—his presence continues to live on through all of us. He was my guiding light and greatest inspiration, and not a day goes by that I don’t wish he were still here.
I fundraise and walk so other kids can meet their grandfather.
Thank you for supporting my family and helping change the future of Pancreatic Cancer and give hope to those facing a diagnosis.
