Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,
This year marks our 9th year participating in PurpleStride, and once again Teeny’s Mustang Gang is walking with purpose, love, and determination.
Our journey began in 2017, in loving memory of my dad, Laurence E. Allen. In December 2016, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a diagnosis that came as a complete shock to our family. Like so many others affected by this disease, his cancer was not detected until it was already in a later stage. Just a few short months later, on March 24, 2017, we lost him.
We remain deeply grateful for devoted and caring medical team who supported my dad. Throughout one of the most challenging times our family has faced, they stood by us, ensuring we were always informed and supported, so we never felt alone.
Pancreatic cancer is relentless, often silent, and devastating, but through events like PurpleStride, we are helping to change that narrative. Every step we take, and every dollar raised supports critical research, patient services, and advocacy efforts that bring hope to families facing this diagnosis today and in the future.
I invite you to join Teeny’s Mustang Gang at PurpleStride Charlotte on April 25th or consider donating in honor of my dad and the countless lives impacted by pancreatic cancer. Whether you walk with us, donate, or simply share our story, your support truly makes a difference.
Thank you for standing with us, remembering my dad, and helping us walk toward a future without pancreatic cancer.
With gratitude,
Teeny’s Mustang Gang
