Welcome to MaryAnn Banach's PurpleStride 2024 - Delaware

In April 2012 my brother-in-law, Walt Moretto, passed away from pancreatic cancer after fighting a courageous battle for over eight years.  In Walt's honor I am continuing his fight by participating in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network PurpleStride Delaware.

Over the past year my family has experienced several happy events and there has also been a very exciting happening for pancreatic cancer — the five year survival rate for the patients has increased to 13%. But there is still a long way to go to find a cure for this horrendous cancer.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
