In January of 2024 I celebrated 22 years as a survivor of pancreatic cancer. When I was diagnosed, the 5-year survival rate was 5%. The 5-year survival rate has improved, but is still only 13%. We need your help to create a brighter future for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

I am raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) by participating in PurpleStride. PanCAN provides free resources to patients and their families, awards research grants to scientists to find early detection methods and treatment, and advocates for federal funding.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
