I am my mother's daughter...

Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009. I watched what once was a bright light in this world slowly dim for three years until it faded into darkness. 

She fought hard against this disease, for her children and grandchildren, until she couldn't anymore. The last words my mother said to me were "I love you daughter." This was in February 2012. They were the first and last words she spoke that year. She passed away Valentine's Day that year. She was 57 years old. 

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
