Welcome to Michelle's Flip the Bird to Pancreatic Cancer Page

We lost our dad to pancreatic cancer on August 17,1995. I was 13, Greg was 11 and Val was 5. This will be our team's 9th year participating in PurpleStride and our team will be walking in memory of our dad. Valentin Hernandez.

We continue this fight for our dad, friends and family that we have met along this journey.  We fight to make a difference. 

By participating in PurpleStride  you will help continue the efforts that PanCan is doing. YOU help continue to raise the survival rate; which is now at 10%.  Now it is time to find a CURE, create more EARLY DETECTION, so we can BEAT this disease.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
