Last December 23, I unexpectedly lost my loving mom to pancreatic cancer. It all started with some pain in her side, leading to a devastating diagnosis that changed our lives forever. In just a matter of weeks, the aggressive cancer took her from us, leaving us in shock and grief.

In honor of my mom’s memory, I’m raising funds for PurpleStride to support vital research that can offer new treatment options and early detection methods to others facing pancreatic cancer. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in the lives of patients and families battling this disease.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
