I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need your help to do it!

For those of you who do not know my story, it all started off with getting hit in the stomach with a soccer ball…who knew that moment would start the trajectory of the most difficult yet most human moments of my life…

17 years later, Type 1 diabetic - Malabsorption Syndrome - Pernicious and Aplastic Anemia – and removal of my pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, appendix, right colon, 65% of my stomach, 2.5 feet of my large intestine, 1.5 feet of my small intestine, post bone marrow transplant and a plethora of what I call, ongoing “health maintenance to dos” … I am here, Cancer free - still kicking the soccer ball around - and taking steps to support pancreatic cancer research by participating in the PanCAN PurpleStride Walk, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride funds are vital for the research that brings treatment options to patients - to the market - for the greater population.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
