My wife's father, Allan Berger, lost his life to pancreatic cancer 18 years ago on December 8th. There's been plenty of progress being made since that time, but there's still a LONG way to go.  Five year survival rates have just climbed above 12 percent. 

I’m going to help make progress again, with your support.

I’m participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families, and this year it's on April 27th. Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives. 

Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!  

Please make a gift of any size to get me one step closer to my fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. 

In the past several years, we've lost Alex Trebek, Bobby Bowden, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Congressman John Lewis, Bob Gibson and countless others.  Patients and families need us now more than ever.

I started Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (November) by donating $180.  Every person who donates $10 or more before the end of Spring Training can participate in a special baseball Zoom with me before the start of the 2024 regular season.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
