A soul as sweet as candy....

I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer on September 27, 2014 after being diagnosed only 8 months prior to his death.  There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about him and feel the great loss of his physical presence. But we are given hope knowing there are people fighting to win this war against PC. When I started this team I affectionately named it after what the Grandkids called him, "Bumpy". But my team has evolved since his passing. It's been 8 years and I'm not done with his fight. In fact, there are many of us who aren't done. And that's who this team is for. Those of us left behind who are continuing the fight. They fight for their lost loved ones like me, they fight for those who are survivors and some are fighting for themselves. Join me in honoring the thousands who have been affected by this deadly disease.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
