WAGING HOPE -- ONE STEP AT A TIME!

Dear Friends,

In February 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage III pancreatic cancer. I participated in my first PurpleStride a few months later and will be participating for the ninth consecutive time this year. l am also honored to serve as Affiliate Chair for PanCAN’s San Francisco Affiliate, as well as on PanCAN’s national Volunteer Advisory Council. 

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers at just 13% and is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US. PanCAN is working every day to change that, providing resources and assistance to patients and caregivers, advancing scientific research, and advocating for patients. PanCAN relies entirely on the generosity of donors like you to fund these critical programs.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
