About Stan:
We honor my uncle, Stan Scherdorf, who was taken from us far too soon by pancreatic cancer. In 2001, Stan was diagnosed and passed away in less than three months. His loss motivates us every day to take action and demand better. We are determined to change the course of this devastating disease and ensure that others don’t face the same fate.

Why We Walk
This year, as part of PurpleStride Los Angeles on Saturday, April 26, we are once again walking to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. PanCAN is leading the charge to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients through a comprehensive strategy that includes:

• Raising Awareness
• Advocating for more federal research funding
• Funding peer-reviewed, innovative research
• Providing essential services to patients and families currently facing the disease

Our goal is simple: to put an end to pancreatic cancer—and make it a part of history. Imagine a world where no one has to hear the words "pancreatic cancer" again. That’s what we’re fighting for.

How You Can Help
There are several ways you can join us in this fight: 

1. Join our team: Come walk with us at Santa Monica Pier on April 26, 2025. We'd love to have you on Team Stan the Man.
2. Make a donation: Every gift counts, and ALL GIFTS WILL BE MATCHED by us up to an aggregate of $5,000. Your contribution, no matter the size, will double in impact!
