Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page for Team #SkyhighInTexas

Hello, and welcome! I'm Scott Schlee, a 10-Year pancreatic cancer survivor and the team captain for Skyhigh In Texas! 

With the support of my amazing coworkers at Skyhigh Security, I’m taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

As a 10-year pancreatic cancer survivor, I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of other pancreatic cancer patients – and I need your help to do that!

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.

The work PanCAN does is imperative to the fight against pancreatic cancer. When I was diagnosed in 2013, the 5-year survival rate was around 6%. As of January 2023, the American Cancer Society reported that that rate had reached 12%!

As wonderful as it is to hear the rate had doubled, the truth is that 12% is unacceptable, and there is a lot of work left to do.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal – because the more money I raise, the bigger impact we make – and would appreciate a gift of any size to help me get there.
