Welcome to My PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

Dearest family and friends, 

As is true with many of you, pancreatic cancer has personally touch my life. There have been some women who were near and dear to me whose lives were cut short by this cancer. This included my mom, Peggy, plus dear friends Carol, Jimi and Susie. 

In December of 2021, I too was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As it was a rare form called neuroendocrine, I have the chance of being cured of this cancer. In late January 2022, I underwent surgery to remove the cancer and am have the good fortune that I am disease-free.

It is my honor to again walk in memory of Susie Fisher, who was the fearless leader of our team, Step by Step. Susie and I had worked together years ago in healthcare and were so glad to be able to reconnect through PanCan. 

The Pancreatic Cancer Network (PanCan) is an amazing non-profit of which I am proud to be affiliated. I have been the recipient of its invaluable resources as well as have the gift of being a volunteer for PanCan. Please join me in supporting PanCan as it continues to engage in cutting-edge research, services and care to so many.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
