Team Walking for Jan!

Cancer rocked our worlds in 2008 when Bill's mom, Jan, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  With no early detection screenings available for pancreatic cancer, she was in advanced stages with a bleak outlook. Thankfully, we were able to find doctors at MD Anderson who was willing to provide options to fight, but with a 5-year survival rate of only 5%, at that time, it would be a long battle.

With the help of her medical team and her sheer determination, Jan was able to include herself in that 5%, making it almost to the 6-year mark before losing her battle in 2013.  We know she is cheering us on to help others who are on the same path she walked.

Currently, the 5-year survival rate is 13%.  That's a huge increase but it's not enough.  Congressional funding for medical research is a huge question mark so we need to do more to help.  PanCan has a goal of a 20% 5-year survival rate by 2030.  That's only 5 years from now!  Please help us WAGE HOPE for those fighting this terrible disease.

We WAGE HOPE in memory of Jan, Father Jim, and all those who have lost their battles with pancreatic cancer.
