My first PurpleStride was 2010 in Washington D.C. John and I were there with Rae & Ian for Advocacy Day and the DC Affiliate was holding their first PurpleStride. We all participated and when it was over we knew that Boise had to have their own PurpleStride. The very next year, we did just that!

We started this journey when the 5-year survival rate was just 5%. Due to the amazing research and education that has been done by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network I’m so pleased to say that today the 5-year survival rate is 12%. That doesn't happen without you and your gifts of time, talent, and financial support.

I hope that you will join team PurpleCure and walk with us in Boise or wherever you are on April 29. If you can’t walk with us please consider a donation. $250 can connect 10 newly diagnosed patients to a PanCAN Patient Services Case Manager for life-changing support. My goal is to raise $1,500 to provide services for 60 individuals. Please hep me reach this year's goal

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
