I'm raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in PurpleStride.  

I'm asking you to support me as I continue my journey to increase awareness, fund research and increase the survival rate of this deadly cancer.  As many of you may know, my dear mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2015. God called her to her heavenly home on May 10, 2016. We had five months to care for her.  We didn't know anything about pancreatic cancer before December 2015.  Afterall, there are no early detection methods; so mom's symptoms were attributed to a host of other illnesses.  When it was determined to be pancreatic cancer, it was too late.  This is almost always the case for those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Thats what I'm STRIDING to change.  This is my passion and obligation to my mother. I don't want another family to endure what we have experienced.  You can help.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
