Welcome to My PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

I’m a team member of Dollars for the Cure and a participant in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, which this year is being held in conjunction with 60 other PurpleStride events on April 29, 2023 throughout the United States.

Every year we, unfortunately, add more names to people who have passed from this horrible disease.  We are currently walking for: Carole Sytsma, Barb Ouimet, Gail Hilmer, Mickey White, Peggy Bernard Morocco, Sonja Bower, Rita Steward, Doris Sites, Marge Zonsius, Dale Schuitt, Alex Yuen, Jackie Donoho-Nesbitt and Tom Kwapil.  If you know of someone who has lost the battle with pancreatic cancer, please let me know and I will add them to the list.  Also, if you know a survivor, we would love to honor them with a special mention!

Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives. Our team, Dollars for the Cure has raised over $50,000 in the five years we have been walking for pancreatic cancer. We have seen the survival rate rise from 8% to 12% thanks to your generous support.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
