Team Zayda

My dad fought pancreatic cancer for 20 months with fierce determination and positivity. He was one of the lucky ones who was able to get on a drug trial.   Unfortunately the drug trial lost funding and could no longer continue, leaving my father without any good alternatives to continue his battle.   Money for research is vital in fighting this horrific disease.  Pancreatic Cancer has now become the 3rd leading death among cancers.  My father lived for 20 months with this illness- more than we thought but far fewer than we hoped and he deserved.  

Please join myself (in Chicago!) and my family (in Philadelphia) as we wage hope, raise awareness, and fundraise for research.  My father said he got this disease about 10 years too early.  He believed that a cure is in our future, but we need your help.  Join us on April 26 Nationwide! The Hymowitz clan will be representing Team Zayda in Philadelphia and the Hymowitz/Dekhaysers will be proudly walking in Chicago. Please join us in either location!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
