This year I am looking forward to being an 11-year Pancreatic Cancer survivor!  Please read this short note to help you understand why making a donation is still important to all of us.  

I continue to walk in this event because researchers are making progress.  Pancreatic Cancer is still a deadly cancer.  A contribution, no matter the size goes a long way in advancing research, helping patients and caregivers.  The five-year survival rate has changed again this year.  In 2013 it was less than 6%, last year it was 12% and today it is 13%. 

 April 27, 2024, PurpleStride Phoenix I will join Purplestride walks across the nation for the third year of a nationwide walk.  I walk to celebrate my survival, but also give back by helping others.  

I have been given a chance to live my life, that's a gift. I also want to honor those who have not survived by walking in PurpleStride Phoenix April 27, 2024.   Thank you supporting this event, it's great to say I had pancreatic cancer.  Betty

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
