Welcome to My Personal Page

The first time we heard the word cancer, was the moment when life would be forever separated into “before” and “after.” Mark was only 35 when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and surgery wasn’t an option. Treatment was recommended, but the doctor told us he had a year at most. Despite the discouraging news, he was not going to give up.

Mark fought cancer with courage and determination. After months of chemo, the tumor was small enough to go ahead with the Whipple. And suddenly we had our future back.

Then 8 months later, he told me that his back hurt. And he knew…

After a two year battle, I lost my husband to pancreatic cancer.

He never stopped fighting, and now it is up to me to continue that fight. Each year, my friends and family come together to spend a morning in Wilmington honoring the man I married… The man I loved… The man I lost. Our story should have had a different ending, but together, we can rewrite the endings to so many stories to come.
