Welcome to My Personal Page

My name is Bonnie, and I began my war with pancreatic cancer in 2013, when my 'honorary" little-sister, Alyson Goodwin, was diagnosed.

In her 48th year, after 6 months of trying to find out what was wrong, she realized she was jaundiced and went to the ER. It was then that they found "a mass on her pancreas." She fiercely went into action to beat it and she fought it for 31 months, vowing to help others by participating in clinical trials even if she didn't find the "magic bullet" for herself. She became a beacon of encouragement and support for other survivors with tips on new discoveries that she had learned. She taught us how to give support, and for this reason the name of our team is "Alyson's Legacy."

In 2013 the 5-year survival rate was just 6%. It is now 12%, but this is so wrong! The number of new pancreatic cancer cases is also increasing, and it is the 3rd deadliest of all cancers! We are working to find a detection tool to diagnose it in earlier stages. That would change everything! So today, I ask for a donation, even if it is only $5.

Today I post a photo of my girl when she was 9 years old and I was 15. I will always be her "big sis" and I appreciate anything that you can do to help us beat this cancer in her name. Thank you so much.
