I hope you are well and enjoying the sunny days of spring.

Once again, I am taking steps to end pancreatic cancer and will be joining community angels at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in San Francisco, CA.

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need your help to do that!

Some of you know of my passion to support this cause, but for those that are new in my life, here’s a FYI. On April 8, 2001, (23 years ago), I lost an incredibly special person in my life, my Abuelita (grama) Marcela de Jesus; it was due to this devastating and deadly disease. Abuelita was an incredibly determined, faithful, and dedicated family member. She left us in her peaceful sleep with the faith and dignity she deserves in the early hours of Palm Sunday. Though it was not known at the time, her passage to a better place led our family to helping others find a cure.

PanCAN community members, family and friends strive to make a positive difference through fundraising and research. As a team, we continue working hard to build a team that supports this cause -- PanCAN PurpleStride.

PanCAN PurpleStride brings survivors, caregivers, families, researchers, healthcare professionals and more together on One Big Day through 60 events across the country to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer. This event is the number one way we raise funds to end this disease.
