Please join us Saturday, April 27, 2024 for our SIXTEENTH annual Chicago Purplestride Walk to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer. 16 years, WOW!  As always, I will be hosting a luncheon directly afterward, to "break bread" and catch up with you. Walk and luncheon details to follow.

Why are we still doing this?

PANCAN FACTS

We continue to Walk so others don't have to experience what we did. Pancreatic cancer is the 3rd deadliest cancer. It is not a rare cancer. More than 64,000 will get the dreadful diagnosis this year. The 5 year survival rate was 4% when we began in 2008, it's now 13%, up 1% from last year. Still very low, but that's 6400 more people alive this year because of our efforts. We are making a difference!  Many times a year, friends call and want information as someone they know has been diagnosed with this horrendous disease. It is no longer a rare cancer. WE DEMAND BETTER!

PERSONAL

CHUCK...On a personal note, it's almost 15 long years that he's been missed. So many life events he's missed. Birthdays, high school graduations, college graduations, most recently, Storm and Caitlin's marriage.  So many milestones. We continue to keep his memory near to our hearts. We still share our "Chuck stories" and all of life's lessons he shared. "Always play in life like there's a minute left." Look at the sunrise, look at the sunset, look at the moon and remember, "Let's break bread"....what a guy.  My heart. I've updated the photo on this site to our wedding photo.  We cherish our memories. 

We also walk for Chuck's mother Lori, his cousin Johnny, and our dear friends Richard and Gus. We miss them all. WE DEMAND BETTER

Last year we raised over $37,000 on a goal of $30k, when all donations were totaled! That's just unbelievable! We're going for $30K again this year.  I believe we are close to One quarter of a million dollars in donations from our team alone over the years. I'll update you on that when I get official records. Your generosity is so heartfelt and appreciated. Your continued support says a lot about Chuck and about you. We have been blessed to have you all in our lives.

To our *Plus One, We love you, We miss you, and We will NEVER forget you.
