Please join us Saturday, April 26, 2025 for our SEVENTEENTH annual Chicago Purplestride Walk to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer. 17 years, WOW!  We will be walking in Horner Park and The Cullertons have generously offered their home to host the pizza party directly after. The schedule will be as follows..

Why are we still doing this?

PANCAN FACTS

We continue to Walk so others don't have to experience what we did. Pancreatic cancer is the 3rd deadliest cancer. It is not a rare cancer. More than 67,000 will get the dreadful diagnosis this year. The 5 year survival rate was 4% when we began in 2008, it's now 13%, and for the very first time, did not increase this year. Furthermore, the federal funding has been cut 75%, so fundraising is more important than ever!  Walk For Chuck is making a difference!  Many times a year, friends call and want information as someone they know has been diagnosed with this horrendous disease. It is no longer a rare cancer. WE DEMAND BETTER!

PERSONAL

CHUCK...On a personal note, it's almost 16 long years that he's been missed. This year, for some reason, his "Chuckisms" have come to mind more than ever.  There was nobody like him. He had this uncanny way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person to him. He was my personal cheerleader and helped and mentored with his natural sense of humor.  So many songs, commercials, and life events continue to remind us of him and his beautiful soul. The picture this year was an Easter Day shot that shows the fun he brought to everyone’s life, most importantly, his family.

We also walk for Chuck's mother Lori, his cousin Johnny, and our dear friends Richard and Gus. We miss them all.

 WE DEMAND BETTER

Last year we raised over $32,000 on a goal of $30k, when all donations were totaled! That's just unbelievable! We're going for $35K this year! Walk For Chuck has raised over $285,000 in donations from our team alone over the years! Your continued support says a lot about Chuck and about you. We have been blessed to have you all in our lives.

To our *Plus One, We love you, We miss you, and We will NEVER forget you.               

17 years and I still tear up when I write that line.
