Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!

My family and I are participating in the 2024 PanCAN PurpleStride again this year.  This will be our 7th year and 3rd since my dad passed away.  My dad was diagnosed in March, 2017 with pancreatic adenocarcinoma cancer.  I was just 10 and my brother 14.  There was no cure then and there is still no cure today.   My dad endured 4.5 years and 145 brutal chemo treatments, radiation, and numerous surgeries, yet the cancer still took over and he lost his battle on June 29, 2021.   

Through PanCan, and other fundraising organizations, the survival rate has improved, and there are new treatments and advancements being made.  Every dollar you donate means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, and personalized information, including tumor analysis and listing of all clinical trials.   We need to raise funds and increase awareness to improve early detection and treatments that lead to a cure!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
