Welcome to My Personal Page
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest 5-year survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. The day I was diagnosed and told to get my affairs in order was overwhelming. As I sat at the family dinner table, trying to process the grim news, my eyes and my thoughts turned to my two sons, then ages 4 and 5. My mind wandered to a future dinner table. My wife and kids were sitting in their regular chairs eating dinner and conversing, but the chair where I used to sit was empty. That is my most vivid memory of diagnosis day, and I will never ever forget it.
As I celebrate my own 5-year survival, I remember Wayne Prince, Jeff Neblett, Marc Lomanto, Scott Crutchfield and many other wonderful people who were taken from us way too soon.
I’ve stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?
Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to diagnose pancreatic cancer earlier and improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.
Early diagnosis of my pancreatic cancer is why I am still sitting at my family table 5 years later. Since my diagnosis, the 5-year survival rate of pancreatic cancer has climbed from 6% to 10% and new research offers hope for additional improvement.
Your donation today can help reduce the number of empty chairs at future dinner tables.
Thank you for your generosity.
